Open it in Cheat Engine, the rest should be self-explanatory. Is anyone interested in putting some real effort into converting a chunk of the AR codes from the GameCube version into CE codes for this one? Anyone at all? Maybe that's a long shot but I failed to rehack the "All Techs Cost 0 TP" code and that's when I decided I'd cry out for help.

I know it's possible but I don't really know what I'm doing as far as figuring out how to find the right addresses for button presses and what to do with them. I want to be able to map techs to the right stick on a controller even if you have to set them through Cheat Engine. I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't apparently the only one interested in custom costumes but I figure I can't complain about a lack of activity without putting my own work in.Īnyway, I'm hoping there's someone out there with the same interests as I with maybe a bit more experience with code hacking. I've also done some minor edits and recolors for a couple of costumes, but as far as art goes, I'm talentless hack so I won't boast about how great they are. I've also added Party Modification because that's been requested a lot. I converted/rehacked a handful of AR/Gecko codes for the GameCube version like "Save Anywhere" and can enable/disable the Holy/Dark Bottle effects whenever it's convenient.

It had enough in it when I found it to make save editing a waste of time (inventory mods complete with item names, stats for each character, addresses for unlocked techs (still converting BSD codes to CE for actually unlocking all techs but it's not a priority since I'm doing a vanilla playthrough), addresses to costumes (independent from titles - model swapping is possible AND functional-ish), and a bunch of other stuff). I'm no expert but I have some experience with game hacking, and I found a CE cheat table for this game elsewhere in the forum that I've added a few things to.

We have Cheat Engine for real-time memory edits and TSFix for texture edits, and almost nobody's put anything out there. The TLDAT files are so far un-crackable and that's way out of my field of expertise, but come on, guys. I just bought the game yesterday so I'm late to the party but I don't want to give up on the idea of improving this game.

Somehow I imagined a large modding community for this game when it was announced for PC, and it's not here.

TL DR: This is mostly a complaint/call to action, but I am also making a small contribution.
